DAVID CAMERON PAYS TRIBUTE TO NELSON MANDELA.

Nelson Mandela & David Cameron
UK Prime Minister David Cameron has paid
tribute to former South African President
Nelson Mandela, who has died aged 95.
He said: "A great light has gone out in the
world. Nelson Mandela was a hero of our
time."
The flag above Number 10 Downing Street is
currently flying at half-mast as a mark of
respect.
Labour leader Ed Miliband tweeted that the
world had "lost the global hero of our age".
He added: "Nelson Mandela showed us the
true meaning of courage, hope, and
reconciliation."
Mr Miliband continued: "Deep condolences to
Graca Machel (Mr Mandela's wife), his family
and friends and to all the people of South
Africa."
Mr Mandela led South Africa's transition from
white-minority rule in the 1990s, after 27
years in prison.
He had been receiving intense home-based
medical care for a lung infection after three
months in hospital.
